The Rutlands® auto locking tape measure streamlines the measuring process, automatically locking in place as you extend the blade. Designed for speed and efficiency, the blade can be adjusted as much or as as little as possible without having to lock and unlock each time, holding securely in place until manually released.

The 8m steel blade features a high-performance nylon coating with a matte yellow finish, reducing glare and reflection for optimum visibility. The top and bottom scales read in metric 1mm graduations with larger markings at each 5mm, 10mm and 100mm increment. The bottom scale reads in a vertical orientation, for clear reading when working overhead. Both scales are EC Class II standard for reliable accuracy.

At the end of the blade is a multi-directional hook, grabbing onto edges from above, below, and to the side to facilitate accurate, single-handed measuring in difficult-to-access areas. The bottom hook features a narrow slot for hooking onto a screw or nail for a secure hold. The hook slides back and forth to factor in its own thickness, ensuring accurate inside and outside measurements.

The heavy duty case is engineered for durability, constructed from an impact resistant ABS with a non-slip rubber coating. On one side of the case is a belt clip, ideal when working on the move. ©
